When we came to Mozambique twenty-five years ago, it was our intention not only to serve the poorest of the poor, but to contribute in every way toward the blessing of the nation. As we seek to uplift the spiritual and material health of our communities, we recognize a responsibility to nurture the God-given gifts of our students, friends, and neighbors. This solemn responsibility has led us to the creation of this institution of higher education in Cabo Delgado — built in the firm hope that it will grow into a center of light and learning for all the peoples of the world.

The need for higher education in Mozambique is desperately needed as less than 1% of the adults have a college degree. We seek to raise a generation marked by stature and excellence.

Heidi Baker, PhD, Executive Chairperson of the Board and Chancellor of Future Iris University signs documents to confirm Dr. Alfandega Manjoro as the Executive President of the Installation Committee. Dr Alfandega Manjoro has over 20 years of educational experience including serving as Vice Rector of UCM in Sofala. He has a Ph.D. in Development Studies, an MBA in Business Management, and a BSC in Statistics. We believe the Lord brought him to the Future Iris University for such a time as this and are excited to have him on board.

Bread Oven Inauguration

Bread Oven Inauguration - There was a vision of bread being ovens and giving out fresh bread both in the Spirit and actual literal bread. The capacity of the ovens is a thousand loaves of bread a day. The ovens are currently being used for outreach and distribution weekly. We are looking in the future to build more ovens and train others how to use these ovens as a micro business.

Bread Of Heaven Song

September 12, 2022

The Lord gave us a spontaneous song about Jesus being the bread who came down from Heaven. The night before this, one of our intercessors had a dream where she was looking for where she can buy fresh bread, and then that morning Heidi began to share out of John 6 about Jesus being the bread of life and felt that the Lord wanted to give us a song. The Spirit of the Lord touched the worship team and a new song was birthed that day.

Iris University is Pending Approval

Iris University is pending approval from the government in Mozambique. We are actively working towards submitting all government documents and fulfilling all requirements by the Mozambique government to legally open the university. This is under the management of the Installation Committee of Iris University, created by the Ministry of Arco Iris, with plans to prepare for the opening, within the scope of the creation process of the Iris University, and in accordance with Decree 46/2018 of August 1 - Regulation of Licensing and Operation of Higher Education Institutions in Mozambique.
