When we came to Mozambique in 1995, it was our intention not only to serve the poorest of the poor, but to contribute in every way toward the blessing of the nation. As we seek to uplift the spiritual and material health of our communities, we recognize a responsibility to nurture the God-given gifts of our students, friends, and neighbors. This solemn responsibility has led us to the creation of this institution of higher education in Cabo Delgado — built in the firm hope that it will grow into a center of light and learning for all the peoples of the world.

We are exhilarated and honored by this unique opportunity to establish and nurture Iris University (Pending Approval), and no challenges will quench our enthusiasm. We present this vision for the sake of the Kingdom of God, and for all who will be enriched and served by the graduates of this university. And so we eagerly invite the participation of all who are moved and gifted by God to bring this vision into reality.

We especially want to thank all of you who have labored so long already in seeing one of God’s dreams come to pass — the bringing of world-class education to Mozambique.
